What is Embryo Adoption and How Does it Work?
What is embryo adoption?
When many couples are struggling with infertility they undergo IVF ( in-vitro fertilization). These embryos are genetically complete to make a baby. They are souls frozen in stasis. Families that have embryos available after finishing their family are allowed to donate their embryos to another couple for adoption. There are more than one million frozen embryos in the United States today.

Embryo Adoption Project only provides an embryo adoption platform to help embryo donors and adoptive couples to connect. Once an adoptive couple and a donor family have decided they are a good match, they will need to work with a lawyer who specializes in adoption to help to transfer the embryos to the new family.

What is Direct Embryo Adoption or Donation?
Direct embryo adoption allows the embryo donor family and the adoptive family to “directly” meet and match through private profiles. This allows both the donor and adoptive couples to control all aspects of the process.
You can search through profiles and choose to email potential matches through our internal email system. Once you are secure with your match you may choose to move off of our platform and meet by video chat or in person to further your relationship.
